Hair Harmony Coaching Program: Roots & Radiance Retreat
Wichita, KS – Culture Creations Inc. is excited to announce the Roots & Radiance Retreat, a transformative event dedicated to providing culturally specific hair and skin care resources tailored to foster and adopted children of color and their caregivers. The retreat will occur on Saturday, August 10th, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM across four locations in Wichita.

1. Elementary Ages (4-10):

2. Middle School Ages (11-13):
- Location: 344 West 29th St N, Wichita, KS 67204*
- Services: Jada Wada Braids, Jumbo Box Braids, Sleek Ponytails, Jumbo Twists, Silk Press, Locs: Retwist & Simple Style, Line Ups
3. High School Ages (14-18):

(*Note: Only two locations with an asterisk (*) have wash bowls available. Please ensure your child’s hair is washed before the event.)
Event Highlights:
- Expert Hair Care Coaching: Certified hair care specialists will provide personalized coaching and guidance, equipping caregivers with the tools and techniques to confidently care for and style Black hair.
- Interactive Workshops: Practical tips, styling ideas, and best practices for managing various hair textures, promoting healthy growth, and maintaining overall hair and scalp health.
- Culturally Relevant Resources: A curated range of hair and skin care products and resources tailored to the unique needs of Black youth.
- Empowerment and Support: A supportive community for youth and caregivers to connect, share experiences, and find encouragement.
Culture Creations Inc. seeks volunteers for various roles on Friday, August 9th, and Saturday, August 10th. Volunteers can assist with event setup, registration, children's activities, logistics, hospitality, and general support.
