CREATING A HEALED CULTURE

At Culture Creations, our unwavering commitment is cultivating a culture of transformative and restorative justice for youth in foster care. We recognize the inequities, traumas, and systemic challenges these young minds have faced, hindering their growth and potential.

Our Mission:

Our mission is to heal their wounds, empower their spirits, and nurture their journey towards a brighter future. Through community-driven initiatives rooted in connection, empathy, and cultural reclamation, we strive to liberate foster youth from the cycle of institutional placements and family separation, with a particular focus on BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) individuals.

Addressing Root Causes:

By addressing the root causes of their struggles, we aim to create an inclusive and supportive space where every foster youth can thrive. Our ultimate vision is a society where all young people, regardless of their background or circumstances, can heal and contribute positively to their communities.

Sowing the Seeds of Healing:

We are sowing the seeds of healing, freedom, and empowerment by fostering resilience and preparing foster youth for life beyond the foster care system.

Whom Do We Serve?

Culture Creations welcomes and serves all foster care youth, regardless of their demographic. However, our focus is on helping BIPOC youth who are disproportionately affected by the system. Black youth, in particular, are overrepresented in the foster care system, and our efforts are dedicated to alleviating their disproportionate burden.

How Do We Serve Them?

Our efforts are focused on relieving the disproportionate burden placed on foster youth of color, who face cultural disconnection, higher rates of institutional placements, and higher rates of separation from their families. We center our initiatives on indigenous modes of healing, community, and transformation, ensuring that the young people we serve can transition out of foster care with the support they need to lead holistically healthy lives.
